Can I upload photos from my gallery, or can I only use photos I have taken using the Luster app?

Yes. You can upload your photos from your gallery/camera roll or upload them directly after taking them. When you click on the “take a photo” icon the icon in the bottom right corner takes you to your gallery to select a photo.
